Florentine Opera Company Seeks Box Office and Patron Services Manager

Position Overview

Milwaukee’s Grammy-Award winning Florentine Opera Company is seeking an outgoing and motivated Box Office and Patron Services Manager to grow subscription and single ticket income. This position is responsible for managing all facets of the Florentine’s box office, database, reporting, and customer service operations. This high-energy professional will be a key team member of the Marketing department with responsibilities in the areas of sales, communications, and public relations. This position reports to the Marketing Manager.

Requirements

Experience:
Prior box office experience and/or training with increasing responsibility; related degree from a technical school, college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  •   Manage all season subscription, single ticket, group sales and exchanges

  •   Serve as lead database manager

  •   Provide superior concierge service and cross-sell patrons on additional/future shows and services

  •   Lead a team of interns and volunteers to make outbound sales calls

  •   Make and foster connections to grow group sales

  •   Oversee and serve as liaison to day of performance box office and front-of-house theater staff

  •   Compile sales reports for single and season tickets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

  •   Maintain and build quality mailing lists for the company

  •   Maintain ticket sales website (Archtics/Ticketmaster)

  •   Serve as liaison between the Florentine Opera and our Archtics Consortium (the Marcus Center for the

    Performing Arts and the Milwaukee Ballet Co.) to share, learn, and implement best practices

  •   Work with the finance department to reconcile ticket revenue

  •   Attend training opportunities provided by Ticketmaster and provide information to staff members as

    necessary

  •   Archtics (Ticketmaster) Database Management specific responsibilities

o Construct all performance events in Ticketmaster’s ticketing system o Record all ticket incomes in Archtics
o Train other staff to effectively use the Archtics database
o Manage security and access controls

o Create and generate lists, accounting reports, and statistical analysis for Marketing and other Departments as needed

o Create, maintain, and provide sales data on Marketing and PR campaigns, and sources o Develop clear and consistent standards for data entry and processing

  •   Assist with promotions and sales at community events and performances

  •   Other duties as assigned

    Applicant Qualifications

  •   Advanced knowledge of database management and ticketing systems: Archtics experience preferred

  •   Superior and friendly customer service skills

  •   Proficiency in Windows and MS Office

  •   Strong oral and written communication skills

  •   Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities on deadline

  •   Desire to interact with a diverse group of staff, volunteer and board leaders

  •   Available to work evenings and weekends on performance dates

  •   Performing arts experience preferred but not required
