Milwaukee Rep Seeks Front of House Staff
Milwaukee Repertory Theater is currently recruiting for enthusiastic and friendly Front of House staff to work in various positions within the FOH operations for the upcoming 2018/19 Season. This is an excellent opportunity for those skilled in customer service and who enjoy working with others in the exciting world of theater.
The Concierge is responsible for assisting patrons at the Quadracci Powerhouse Concierge Desk before, during, and after performances. The Concierge will pro-actively interact with patrons to provide excellent customer service and assist the House Manager in providing a safe, efficient, and welcoming experience for our patrons. The position also helps with Gift Shop Duties as needed. Compensation for Concierge staff members is $9.50 per hour.
Gift Shop Associates
The Gift Shop Associate is responsible for the operation of The Rep’s Gift Shop before, during and after performances. The Gift Shop Associate will pro-actively interact with patrons to provide excellent customer service as well as to promote and sell them merchandise. The position also helps with Concierge Duties as needed. Compensation for Gift Shop Associates is $9.50 per hour.
The House Manager is the first point of contact for many of our patrons as such he/she is responsible for creating a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment for guests that reflects the mission and vision of The Rep. House Managers will demonstrate outstanding customer service and attention to detail, be a team player, enthusiastic, articulate and have an interest in the arts. They will maintain communication with other staff and direct the volunteer ushers. House Managers generally work 3-5 performances per week, depending on the production schedule. Compensation for House Managers is $10.25 per hour.
Previous experience in customer service, front desk operations, patron services, special event assistance or hospitality is preferred. Ideal candidates will also have cash handling experience. Additionally, House Managers will have demonstrated experience in managing others.
