Shakespeare in the Park Seeks Summer Interns

Once again, Shakespeare in the Park and the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts are teaming up to hire four Milwaukee Public School students this summer. We're looking for MPS students ages 16-18, We pay $9 per hour and each student is allocated 160 hours. VISUAL ARTS INTERN (1 spot available): The Visual Arts Intern will get to be involved in a variety of the tasks needed to create Shakespeare in the Park performances. You might also help with the visual arts elements of the Marcus Center's summer youth programming. You may work on the show set, take on photography projects, help to create displays that people will see before every show, and help create artwork that will be printed in the program. 

In addition to your specific focus on Visual Arts, every intern will also work on the hospitality team at all 14 of the Shakespeare in the Park performances.

SUMMER YOUTH WORKSHOPS INTERN (2 spots available): The Summer Youth Workshops Intern will help organize and facilitate workshops directly with community members, primarily with youth. The Marcus Center for the Arts is a partner with Shakespeare in the Park and they have a great schedule of summer youth activities. You will help put together workbooks, and work directly with the youth on their activities.

You might also work on the Shakespeare in the Park summer youth workshops. In addition to your specific focus on Summer Youth Workshops, every intern will also work on the hospitality team at all 14 of the Shakespeare in the Park performances.

ARTS ADMINISTRATION INTERN (1 spot available): 

In addition to your specific focus on Arts Admin, every intern will also work on the hospitality team at all 14 of the Shakespeare in the Park performances.
