Waukesha Civc Theatre Seeks Part Time Event Staff

Job Title: WCT Event Staff

Job Type: Part Time

Reports To: Associate Managing Director

Purpose: To connect and serve with Waukesha Civic Theatre patrons and the community by providing a professional and pleasurable experience in the box office, the lobby, the bar, the theatre, and at events where the theatre is represented.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Season subscriptions, ticket sales, and exchanges in person, over the phone, and by mail.

  • Cash box reconciliation and bank deposits.

  • Assisting, training, and supervising ushers and other volunteers at the theatre.

  • Assisting in updating and maintaining theatre’s patron database.

  • Stocking lobby, bar, concessions, and bathrooms.

  • Ensuring that the building is clean and tidy at all times.

  • Communicating with stage managers to coordinate smooth production start times, end times, and intermissions.

  • Effectively dealing with patron concerns.

  • Coordinating concession sales, bar sales (age 18+ event staff only), and serving customers.

  • Representing the theatre at community events including Friday Night Live, Waukesha Farmers Market, Art Crawls, and more.

Job Qualifications:

  • Age 16+ (18+ to work the lobby bar.)

  • An interest in the performing arts and the Waukesha community.

  • Organized and detail oriented.

  • Friendly, outgoing, and personable.

  • Both self motivated and a team player.


  • Starting salary is $9/hour. Number of hours varies depending on the theatre’s event schedule each month.

  • 2 complimentary tickets to all Waukesha Civic Theatre performances (excluding fundraisers and special events.)
