Almost a decade in the making, the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center now provides the city of Brookfield and Waukesha County with a beautiful theater, art gallery, and grand hall. The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center has featured numerous artists and groups, including Frankly Music, Wisconsin Philharmonic, and Florentine Opera Company.
The Engberg Anderson Design Partnership team of architects and interior designers provided the "lodge in the park" design to place the arts and special events in a natural setting. Sitting at the edge of the woods in the heart of Brookfield's Mitchell Park, the Wilson Center includes a 619-seat performance theater with proscenium stage, Grand Hall with a soaring 40-foot limestone fireplace, sculpture garden, art gallery, music and art classrooms, a dance studio, and a performance studio. An outdoor terrace provides a natural setting for al fresco performances. Patrons will find ample, on-site parking.
