Additional Information:

Milwaukee Repertory Theater Professional Training Institute Auditions The Professional Training Institute (PTI) is an advanced actor training program for students in 9th-12th grade with an interest in pursuing a professional theater career. Participants will receive free training from some of the top theater professionals in the world, and the Institute culminates in a capstone summer performance for which students are employed as paid, professional actors. Support for this program is provided by funders of The Rep’s new community engagement initiative Mpact, which is designed to further the theater’s mission of creating positive change in the cultural, social and economic vitality of Milwaukee.

Last year, over 100 young artists auditioned, and 16 students joined the 2017/18 PTI cohort. After eight months of training with nationally-recognized and award-winning actors and directors, 12 PTI participants are starring in the World Premiere Production of Lost Girl by Kimberley Belflower, directed by New York-based Racine native Ryan Quinn. Lost Girl runs July 19-22.

Training Sessions will be held on the second Monday of each month from 5pm – 8pm at Milwaukee Repertory Theater (September 10, October 8, November 12, December 10, January 14, February 11, March 11, April 8, May 13) including a few longer weekend retreats TBA. Members of the Professional Training Institute may not miss more than one training session per year.
