Auditions are in person via appointment only. They will be one person at a time and consisting of reading from the script. Please prepare one of the following sides:
Auditions for the role of Salomé will also include movement/dance.
For those wishing to audition virtually, please send a self tape of a monologue from one of the above sides to firstname.lastname@example.org by Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Those auditioning for the role of Salomé should also include a 1 - 2 minute interpretive dance that shows your range of movement.
Performance Dates: Full production to be filmed during the week of February 1, 2021. The filmed version will be presented virtually on February 10,11,12,13, 17,18,19 at 7:30 PM, February 13 & 20 at 2:00 PM. Cast members will be asked to participate in talk back discussions after each presentation, via Zoom.
A half hour cut of the show will be filmed the week of March 1, 2021 for entry in the 2021 AACTFest Virtual Festival. If the production is selected for the festival, additional filming of the whole show will be scheduled in April or May.

Rehearsals: Rehearsals will be held evenings and weekends, scheduled based on cast availability. Please list all conflicts accordingly.
Synopsis: The play tells the Biblical story of the stepdaughter of Herod Antipas who, to her stepfather's dismay but to the delight of her mother Herodias, requests the head of Jokanaan (John the Baptist) on a silver platter as a reward for pleasing Herod for dancing the Dance of the Seven Veils.

The full cast will be about 8 people.
