Performance Date: Tuesday March 9, 2021 - Livestreamed to Facebook at 7:30 PM
To be performed at: Inspiration Studios 1500 South 73rd Street West Allis, Wisconsin 53214
Rehearsals: Rehearsals will be held evenings and weekends, scheduled based on cast availability, starting the week of January 17, 2021. Please list all conflicts accordingly. Rehearsals will primarily be via Zoom, with minimal in person rehearsals scheduled for early March.
Possible additional performances: The Visitation was originally selected to be part of the Village Playhouse’s 35th Annual Original One Act Festival, which was canceled last June due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of canceling completely, we chose to present these plays via livestream. Every other month we stream to Facebook Live and film the shows to put on Youtube and our website. www.facebook.com/VillagePlayhouse villageplayhouse.org/35th-annual-original-one-act-festival/
In addition, we are hoping (pandemic permitting) to present these shows to a live audience in June 2021 for one weekend only (3 performances, June 4,5 & 6, 2021). Availability for the June production is not a requirement of participating in the livestream, but all livestream participants will have right of first refusal for the same roles in June.
Lumpy is resting comfortably and is all smiles. Everyone says he has never looked so good. The only thing wrong with Lumpy is that he's dead. A life of excessive drinking combined with bad food, high blood pressure, an overall bad attitude and a sudden expenditure of energy has led to his unexpectedly early demise. As Lumpy lies peacefully in his coffin, family members stop by the funeral home to share their thoughts with and about the deceased. The turnout at the visitation is small but to be expected. After all, Lumpy was known by many, but liked by few.
The Visitation will be directed by Donna McMaster.
