“It’s such a great essay on the banality of evil and how people sign up
to do evil as long as it serves their purpose. And I also found myself
to be extremely entertained.”

American Theatre Magazine

“The ensemble is nothing short of breathtaking.”
New York Theatre Review

Three times a day, every day, a group of young women had the opportunity to die for their country. They were Adolph Hitler’s food tasters. Based on true historical events, Hitler’s Tasters is a dark comedy about the young women who were forced to be Adolph Hitler’s food tasters. And what do girls discuss as they wait to see if they will live through another meal? Like all girls throughout time, they gossip and dream, they question and dance; they want to love, laugh, and above all, they want to survive.

After staged readings in Los Angeles, Pasadena, Houston and eventually New Jersey, Hitler’s Tasters won the 2017 Women Playwrights Series (WPS) Susan Glaspell Award. This culminated in the world premiere at Centenary Stage in April 2018 and paved the way for the New York premiere at IRT Theater in October 2018, where it received wide critical and audience acclaim. The New York production was a pivotal moment for the play: an all-female team drove the hugely successful production and opened doors for further productions in 2019. The next production with the original New York cast will be at the North Shore Center in Skokie in advance of performances at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland.
